
Graduation Requirements
As per the Ministry of Education, the requirements for obtaining a Secondary School Diploma (SSD) in general education in the youth sector are the following:
The four requirements to get a Secondary School Diploma:

Students must have a total of 54 credits

20 of these credits must be from Secondary 5 courses

Students must pass the following Secondary IV classes:
-History (4 credits)
-Arts (2 credits)
-Science and Technology (4 credits)
-Mathematics (4 or 6 credits)
-*-English (6 credits)
-*French (4 or 6 credits)
-*CCQ or Physical Education (2 credits)
*Students must successfully pass a course to move onto the course's next level. -
Students must pass the following Secondary V classes:
-English (6 credits)
-French (4 or 6 credits)
-CCQ or Physical Education (2 credits)
